INDIANA EGG ART SHOW AND SALE

NEW DATE, NEW DAYS, NEW LOCATION: Just a heads up, we have new show dates, May 7, 2008 through May 10, 2008. New days, the showroom will be open Friday and Saturday, seminars will be Wednesday through Saturday. New location is listed below.

LOCATION: Indianapolis Marriott East, 7202 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS: We have made arrangements with the Indianapolis Marriott East for a special show rate of $84.00 per night. Please contact them at 317-322-3716. Also on the grounds is the LaQuinta Inn which will provide rooms for $64.00 per night. Their number is 317-359-1021. We ask that all parties participating in the show stay at either of these hotels. Please mention the Egg Art show when making reservations. If you are bringing pets there is no additional charge at the LaQuinta Inn, however there is a $50.00 fee at the Marriott. Please put your confirmation number on the registration form.

SEMINARS: Seminars will begin on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 and continue through Saturday, May 10, 2008. Please make your reservations for seminars directly with the individual instructors. You must be either an exhibitor, dealer, or registered guest in order to attend any of the seminars. Please pick up your badges at the front door of the exhibition room. All parties participating in seminars must wear their badges.

REGISTERED GUEST: Preregister for $15.00 entitles you to private shopping hours from 8:00 to 10:00 A. M. on Friday and Saturday, opportunity to enroll in seminars, Thursday evening time with the eggperts, chance for door prizes and the opportunity for a preview (no sales, but you can put items back for purchase during the show) from 3:00 to 5:00 P. M. on Thursday, May 8, 2008. Badges must be picked up and worn for entrance to the showroom and seminars. Please register no later than April 15. Registration at the door will be $18.00.

GENERAL PUBLIC: Tickets will be available at the door. The show will be open to the public from 10:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. Friday, May 9, 2008 and 10:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M. on Saturday, May 10, 2008 for $5.00 or $3.00 for those over 55.

TABLE RESERVATIONS: All exhibitors and dealers are restricted to the display/sale of their own decorated, real authentic egg shells and/or egg related items. As an Exhibitor your entire display must be decorated real eggs. If selling anything other than decorated eggs, you are an Exhibitor/Dealer or a Dealer. If you have more than one table all will be at the Dealer rate. All exhibits are to remain in place until 4:00 P. M. on Saturday.

Participants in the last Indiana Egg Art Show will be given priority in registering for this show. Two weeks after mailings tables will be filled in order of paid registration. Once tables are filled, other requests will be placed on a waiting list and advised of available openings. No tables will be reserved without payment. No table refunds after April 1, 2008. The new location is smaller so get your registrations in early.

Dealer tables are 2 ˝’ by 8’. Exhibitor tables are 2 ˝’ by 6’. No solid wall displays are permitted on exhibits in the center of the showroom, open shelving only up to 24”. No items can “flow” into any aisles. If it doesn’t fit on or under your table please do not bring it into the showroom. You are allowed to bring one small table to use for your cash register. No other tables are allowed in the showroom.

Due to problems in the past with people having “rummage sales” at shows no more than 10 percent of your table space can be items for “sale” or marked at less than retail price.

Exhibitor tables are $50.00 for a 6 foot table. This includes one free assistant. Dealer tables are $90.00 for an 8 foot table. One to two tables include one free assistant. Three or more tables include two free assistants. Electricity is available for $25.00 for the weekend. .

SET UP TIMES: Dealers: Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 8:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. Exhibitors: 12:00 to 5:00 P. M. All tables should be in place by 8:00 A. M. Friday.

We will open the showroom to Dealers and Exhibitors at 7:00 A. M. on Friday and Saturday.

SALES TAX: Indiana sales tax is 6%. Applications can be obtained at www.IN.gov, by calling 317-615-2700 and asking for a BT-1 or by mail Indiana Department of Revenue, P O Box 6197, Indianapolis, Indiana 46206. There is a $25.00 charge.

DOOR PRIZES: Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be given out during the show.

CHARITY RAFFLE: This year our charity raffle will be in remembrance of Wanda Neber with the proceeds going to hospice.

SECURITY: All precautions will be taken to secure the Showroom. Neither the Indianapolis Marriott East nor the show host will be held liable for damage or loss of goods.

AIR TRAVELERS: The Indianapolis International Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the host hotel.

FOOD SERVICE: Unfortunately, you are not supposed to bring anything to eat or drink into the showroom. The hotel is to have lunch available each day. They also have a very nice restaurant.

THURSDAY EVENING: We will have the Thursday evening time with the Eggsperts at 5:15 P. M. in the classrooms. Marcia Robbins will be in charge of this event. You must be a registered guest and be wearing your badge to participate.

DIRECTIONS:

All roads lead to Indiana, the Crossroads of America. From the East/West take I-70 to exit 89 (Shadeland Avenue), turn right at North Shadeland Avenue then left at East 21st Street, follow to hotel.

From the North/South take I-65, I-74, I-69 to I-465 to exit 48 toward Shadeland Avenue, merge onto North Shadeland Avenue and then turn right at East 21st Street, follow to hotel.

SEMINARS INDIANA EGG ART SHOW AND SALE MAY 7, 2008 TO MAY 10, 2008

We have a fantastic list of instructors this year. Our returning instructors are Katie Geerling, Marcia Robbins, Gloria Harrison, Joan Prince, Peter Polkiewicz, Thelma Wilber, Cleone Miller and Marilyn Powers. We also have a great list of new instructors including Debbie Botts (Welcome Back!), Virgi Bondi, Beryl Dunn, Deloris Hesni and Doneen Kailing. If you don’t recognize Doneen by her name she is Thelma Wilber’s granddaughter.

Please register and make payments with the individual instructors for all seminars you wish to take. Make your reservations as soon as possible so the instructors may prepare. NOTE; You must be a registered guest to take a seminar. Badges must be picked up at the entrance to the showroom prior to entering the seminar rooms and worn at all times.
